Michelle is a scientist entrepeneur and a rare disease advocate. She followed an academic path in research after obtaining a PhD in Immunogenetics from University of Cambridge followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute before venturing into industry. Her background spans across drug discovery and immunotherapy. Her daughter Sofia was diagnosed with H-ABC at 3 and a half.She also has two younger twin daughters who draw inspiration from Sofia's strength of character. Other than the foundation, Michelle is also a co-founder of a machine learning biotech based in Oxford. In her spare time, Michelle finds enlightenment through a sacred routine of running, reading and taekwondo.
