Dr Nicola Wolf

Scientific Advisor

Since high school years, Nicole Wolf wanted to be a child neurologist. She did herMD/PhD on “proliferation control and neuronal differentiation of chromaffin cells” inNeurosciences. She started her paediatric neurology residency in1999 at theDepartment of Child Neurology, University of Heidelberg, Germany and becameinterested in inherited white matter disorders during her training. In 2008, she moved tothe Center for Childhood White Matter Disorders at VU University Medical Center,Amsterdam. Her major research and clinical interest is hypomyelination, for which shedescribed several new entities. Her other focus within the field of inherited white matterdisorders is metachromatic leukodystrophy, especially imaging findings and therapy.
